I try my best to write down every detail that I experienced everyday (well, I might try to spice up things here and there) to share with you guys out there. Those of you who know me in person will definitely agree that I am a storyteller (an enthusiactic one!) with every tiny weeny details and actions included. That's who I am and I enjoy telling stories to people. So there -- I'll do the same for this blog and if I forgot to mention some events of incidents, I'll include it in the other entries, so that you guys out there can follow and will be on the same page as I.
Enough of that. Now, back to me being a story teller -- last 2 days Zairi and I went to WalMart (while Adik babysit Fatihah) to get some stuff (Fatihah's new fleece jacket and pants - got a bunch of 'em and etc). By the way, here's my official uniform for the Winter --
We waited for awhile and the time is 7.25pm. I was wondering why the 7.13pm bus did not arrive on time, so I asked the guy at the bus stop.
Me: Is the 7.13 bus arrived?
Guy: I totally have no idea. I've been here 5 minutes before you guys arrived.
Me: Hmm..
Guy: Do you have the time?
Me: Yeah.. it's now 7.30pm.
Me: Is this the supposed-to-be 7.13pm bus?
Driver: Excuse me? This is the 5.32pm bus..
Me: Errr... (looked so confused)
Suddenly...
Me: Abg, I figured out something.
Zairi: Apanya?
Me: Jam ayg ikut waktu Malaysia laaaa
Zairi: Ha?? huhuhu... patutlah...
Me: No wonder the guy at the bus sto looked so confused.. and the driver, too... rupanya jam salah... (and I started to laugh my head off in the bus)
Moral of the story: Please reset your watch according to the place that you live. LOL
Adik was complaining that his Chem class and Physics class were so advanced that there are so many things that need to be done -- prelab assignments, problem sets, online quizzes, reading assignments and the list continues... he was even thinking on dropping a class. He said that it was tough, and I responded saying that it's only a week of class and you're already complaining? Haha.. it's never the same learning here with learning back in Malaysia.. Nasib la dik... pandai2 la nak hidup... huhu...
What else that I'm up to? Car-hunting, of course... I'm looking for a reasonable car with good mileage.. it's hard to move around without a car since I'm with family.. so get my fingers crossed and hope I could get a good deal on a family car..
Oh.. and I got a desk space at the faculty :) I was asked by my advisor Dr Shane to come over next week and she'll show me...and on Monday it's a holiday here -- it's Martin Luther King's Day, so no class in session (Yay! Got a 3-day weekend). Tomorrow there is an orientation held by AMSISU (Association of Malaysian Students at Iowa State University) and Adik and I plan to attend it.
P/S: The weather now is not so bad as 2 days before (-21 degrees celcius) -- but it is still cold, though...
