PhD Updates -- Status and more!

Alhamdulillah syukur sangat2 di atas segala kurniaan yang telah Allah berikan.. I can't say how grateful I am with all the opportunities given to me.. and I have to say that all of this may not be possible without Doa from mama and daddy...I thank Allah for giving me both of you as my parents.. Betullah orang tua2 cakap, doa ibubapa buat anaknya tu memang la dimakbulkan Allah..

My status for Spring 2009 intake for PhD is Full with no restrictions --> Syukurlah..now I'm waiting for my offer letter and I-20 for Visa Application.


I will be working with Dr Jennifer Shane and I heard that she's nice and quite flexible, too..

Can't wait to be there at Iowa State!

Hi! congrats again....

just nak tanye...if we work as tutor/RA @ IPTA are we allowed to get the MARA scholar?

i got an offer jadi tutor at IPTA but takut nnti MARA reject laks...

Anyway, selalunya kalau dah dapat jadi tutor/RA kat IPTA mmg tak dibenarkan amik mana2 scholarship lain.. sebab dah ada funding dah utk byr u as RA/tutor tu..

lagipun mara akan tanya gak nnt sbb kalau diorang tahu u jadi RA/tutor kat IPTa, sure diorang reject

hi... just to let u know...got a SMS from a friend and according to her u can get the official letter from MARA office directly starting today...dunno true or not coz whenever tried to call MARA asyik x angkat je

it is confirmed.

surat boleh ambil sendiri kt pejabat mara, kl starts hari ni.

surat akn diposkan tp, mara galakkan utk kita mbil sendiri sbb tarikh akhir submit is 30/6. Mara kata, khuatir surat lmbt smpai.

Jadi, adalah > baik kita ambil sendiri ;).

Assalamualaikum:

Just wanted to know....kenapa dalam surat tawaran MARA dinyatakan "BANTUAN PINJAMAN" bukan biasiswa?

Kalau pinjaman, apa agaknya syarat2 pembayaran balik?

Wsalam Takyuddin:

Based on my experience, mmg dia panggil pinjaman MARA but actually as far as i know it is convertible.
Mara nyer style is if u get > 3.50 CGPA, then tak payah byr. >3.00 < 3.50 pulak there's a percentage that u only have to pay from the total pinjaman and so on.. tapi kalau under 2.00 or x grad then kena bayar penuh.

Masa i dah abis belaja degree dulu, i need to pay only 30% from the total pinjaman. Around RM 30,000 ++ tapi sebab i keje ngan MARA waive je semua tak yah bayar
